Here is the original Flash composition, traced and rendered in 4B pencil. I traced the image to support my drawing process by setting out the general correct proportions. The foreshortening of a bent knee can be tricky and given it was only a sample for my elective Yr 9 class, I decided to make the process and quick as possible. The rendering of tonal contrast was a way to give Flash volume and also to create the illusion of depth within the overall composition.

4B pencil rendering
